JOSHUA TREE, CA — Just in time for Mother’s Day, the Hi-Desert Cultural Center’s prestigious Hi-Desert Playhouse theater division will present its tenth production this season with the hilarious and touching comedy MOTHERHOOD OUT LOUD. Written by a stunning collection of American writers, MOTHERHOOD OUT LOUD celebrates the joy, humor and heartwarming realities of being a mother through monologues, sketches and stories. This one-night-only performance as a part of the Playhouse’s popular First Fridays! Reader’s Theater Series will take place this Friday, May 6 at 7pm at the Cultural Center’s state-of-the-art Blak Box Theater.
Featuring a brilliant cast under the direction of Playhouse Artistic Director Howard Shangraw, the production stars Miri Hunter, Jeanette Knight, Analisa Pilecki, Elizabeth Grace Schmelling, Jasmine Shaffer, Bianca Collins, and Howard Shangraw.

Where directors, playwrights, and actors rehearse and present exceptional reader’s theater, the Reader’s Theater series showcases superb acting talent in a professional setting with an intent to create thoughtful discussion and social community for live theater actors and enthusiasts. General admission tickets are only $7 and include one beverage. A cash bar is also available.
