JOSHUA TREE, CA – With tickets selling fast and houses filling-up, you won’t want to miss this back-by-overwhelming-demand concert series featuring the Joshua Tree Philharmonic (JPHIL) as it performs new selections of the popular Christmas music from Mannheim Steamroller’s smash hit albums this December 13-15.  With the rhythmic excitement and emotional grandeur of Chip Davis’ acclaimed arrangements of favorite Christmas carols, the Philharmonic’s members spanning the Morongo Basin, Coachella Valley, and Inland Empire regions have been rehearsing for months to bring their finest musical talent to the Hi-Desert Cultural Center. With amazing music, fanciful decorations, and plush seating, audiences will be taken on a sonic journey through uplifting timeless holiday melodies that the whole family will be sure to enjoy!

More than 25 years after releasing a Christmas album that changed the music industry, Chip Davis, the founder of the multi-platinum selling group Mannheim Steamroller and American Gramaphone, the most successful independent record label in history, continues to create music that enthralls concert audiences.  Chip Davis and American Gramaphone have generously supported the Joshua Tree Philharmonic during this past year’s opening series, and just recently congratulated Maestros Jarrod Radnich and Jason Powell on the formation of the new Palm Springs-based JPHIL sister orchestra, the “Coachella Valley Strings” orchestra.

“The continued support of so many in the music industry – from Mason & Hamlin bringing a new 9’ 4” CC Concert Grand Piano with PianoDisc technologies to our stage, to Ludwig-Musser helping us restore a complete set of five world-class copper timpani, to the encouragement that American Gramaphone has shown us – this support means the world to the many Hi-Desert Cultural Center volunteers who work so hard to bring these programs to, and beyond, our desert communities,” stated Jarrod Radnich, volunteer JPHIL Maestro and Cultural Center President.  “We are truly thankful for their support and the long-time support of so many generous people who believe in our mission of promoting the arts and education.”

There will be 7:00 pm evening performances on both Friday and Saturday, December 13th and 14th, and 2:00 pm matinee performances on both Saturday and Sunday, December 14th and 15th.  All four concerts will be held at the Hi-Desert Cultural Center’s Blak Box Theater located as 61231 Highway 62 in Joshua Tree.  Tickets are $15 for General seating, and $20 for Elite seating.  While this is a family event, children must be at least 5 years of age to attend.  To purchase tickets call 760.366.3777, go online to  www.hidesertculturalcenter.com, or visit our Facebook page.  Tickets will only be available at the door if seating is available.
