JOSHUA TREE, CA — The Hi-Desert Cultural Center’s first full dance production is one night only, on Friday, April 13th at 7pm. with THE BROCKUS DANCE PROJECT—An incredible and exciting dance concert by one of United States’ premier dance companies, led by Deborah Brockus — who has been labeled as “the single most important person in Southland dance,” an “impresario … the mother superior of LA dance,” and ”tireless” by the Los Angeles Times for her work as a producer, choreographer, and teacher in modern, jazz, musical theater and social dance styles. With nine of the Southland’s best dancers, the first half of the evening has three pieces that are great for audiences new to dance as well as for seasoned dance lovers. Common music, fun costumes, and a glimpse of life experiences that we all recognize makes these pieces audience favorites. The second half of the evening goes a bit deeper — looking into the essence of being human and how we interact with each other and pass on that wisdom that interconnects us all.
