ENROLL NOW! DANCE, THEATER, MUSIC, ARTS, + CULINARY YOUTH WINTER/SPRING 2023 COURSES

Greater Joshua Tree’s arts education leader and award-winning ARTS|TECH ACADEMY program division of the Hi-Desert Cultural Center is proud to announce its new schedule of over 30 youth arts courses for the Winter/Spring 2023 semester. In order to keep class sizes small, applications will be accepted on a first come, first served basis, and class sizes will be limited. Minimum class sizes also may be required and classes not meeting those minimums may be canceled with a full refund to those enrolled.

Most courses have specific age requirements (or advance permission by the instructor), so please read each description thoroughly when enrolling.

Some classes are held at our main Hi-Desert Cultural Center campus in Joshua Tree (61231 CA-62) and others are held at our NEW Yucca Valley Visual & Performing Arts Center (58325 CA-62)—so please take note of the specific location for each course you will be attending.

Private lessons and specially-formatted group lessons on all instruments, voice, dance, drama, and culinary are available upon request and are held at our safe and secure facilities.

No cancelations once your spot is reserved through enrollment. WE ARE AN APPROVED VENDOR FOR MANY CHARTER SCHOOLS, but you MUST complete this registration and we will bill against the purchase order from your school.

You may also call 760.366.3777 or email info@jtarts.org if you have any questions.

Applications are accepted now and are recorded for priority. Your student’s enrollment is not complete until payment is received, unless your student is enrolled in a Charter School that will be covering your student’s cost of tuition.
Classes begin the week of January 15th except for the culinary course, which begins Feb 2nd. Dance, art, theater, and music courses run 18 weeks with a recital/performance the last week for family & friends. Please note that we do not ask you to buy costumes for our recitals or performances! The culinary course runs 16 weeks. No courses will run the week of April 10th for Spring Break.
All courses may be paid in full or in installments. [Note: There will be an additional approx. 10% charge for installment payments.] Visual Arts courses’ tuition include all art supplies. Dance students are required to provide their own dancewear (leotards, shoes, tights, etc.). Musical instruments are not included in the tuition costs for music courses (except that Piano/Keyboard students will be provided instruments for use in the classroom). Violins, violas, cellos, saxophones, flutes, clarinets, French horns, trumpets, trombones, and guitars are available for highly-subsidized rental rates.

Tuition may be paid using credit card, debit card, or ACH bank withdrawals through the on-line payment portal for a convenience fee, or via cash or check at the Box Office (call for hours).

GREAT NEWS FOR SEASON PACKAGE TICKET HOLDERS! Should your schedule change and you find yourself needing to attend a performance on a different date — if you give the Box Office at least 48 hours notice prior to your ticketed performance, management will attempt to exchange your ticket for a different performance of the same show!
