JOSHUA TREE, CA — Headline comedians, Melanie Chartoff and The Very Nick & Zach Show will perform the Saturday Night Comedy Cabaret Show July 8, 2017 at 7:30pm at the Hi-Desert Cultural Center as part of THIS WEEKEND’s Joshua Tree International Improv Comedy Festival!  Tickets are only $15-$30 and include complimentary light hors d’oeuvres and a full cash bar.

Melanie Chartoff is a self-professed “audience-aholic” and she’s bringing her one-woman to Joshua Tree! The hysterically talented stage, screen, and voice actress premieres her hilarious new one-woman show ODD WOMAN OUT at the Joshua Tree International Improv Comedy Festival.  Chartoff, who’s careers spans all media from Broadway, to Film, to T.V. to voice-over, exposes her need to make people laugh through story and song.  Her addiction started as a babe in her crib, and she recounts her life-long “habit” with a personal, funny, and wickedly entertaining peek into the heart and soul of a born entertainer. Get your comedy fix and don’t miss the world premiere of Melanie Chartoff’s ODD WOMAN OUT!  You’re sure to get hooked! Chartoff is an improviser and inventor of stories and characters for the page, stage, and screen, including many roles she created on and off Broadway and on ABC’s late night comedy Fridays, Parker Lewis Can’t Lose, The Newhart Show, Wiseguy, Ally McBeal, Touched by an Angel, Seinfeld, and Desperate Housewives. She’s heard daily voicing Didi and Minka on Nickelodeon’s Rugrats, is a columnist for The Huffington Post, The Jewish Journal, The Funny Times, Defenestration Magazine, and Oneforthetable.com.

Los Angeles-based comedy duo Very Nick and Zach (Zach Fairless and Nick Luciano) are returning to the Joshua Tree International Improv/Comedy Festival with 30 minutes of chill sketch comedy that will raise your vibration. Nick and Zach are former UCB Sketch Showdown champs and have performed numerous shows at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre in Los Angeles including The Very Nick and Zach Show: Now Is Tight, a July 4 theme show entitled Is America Tight? and NBCUniversal’s The UCB Show Season 2 streaming on Seeso.”
