Philharmonic to commence Spring 2018 Season—welcomes new musicians

JOSHUA TREE, CA — The Joshua Tree Philharmonic (JPHIL) will begin its Spring 2018 Season Monday, January 15, at 6:30pm at the Hi-Desert Cultural Center’s Blak Box Theater in Joshua Tree.  The innovative inter-generational community orchestra welcomes new musicians to join and be a part of its epic new season, entitled “Monsters, Myths, Heroes, Legends.”  With concerts always selling-out, this new series full of mystery, conquest, fantasy, and wonder will feature music selections including themes from JAWS, HOOK, INDIANA JONES, LAWRENCE OF ARABIA, GAME OF THRONES, ROMEO & JULIET, MONSTERS INC., THE FIREBIRD SUITE, IN THE HALL OF THE MOUNTAIN KING, and more.

Under the direction of renowned Maestro Jarrod Radnich, the JPHIL is a multi-session, year-round, inter-generational community orchestra comprised of over 50 musicians from the Morongo Basin, Coachella Valley, Inland Empire, High-Desert/Apple Valley region—and beyond.  Open to all instruments and musicians who demonstrate competency on their instrument, all orchestral parts are expertly created and arranged for each musician in the orchestra.

With weekly rehearsals for its Spring Season beginning January 15, the JPHIL meets Monday evenings from 6:30-8:30pm that will culminate in three performances March 2-4, 2018 at the Hi-Desert Cultural Center’s state-of-the-art facilities located at 61231 Hwy 62 in Joshua Tree, CA.  There are no fees to participate in the orchestra.  Interested new musicians are encouraged to send an email to for more information on participation.  All concert proceeds go toward supporting the Cultural Center’s music programs and student scholarships.
