Playhouse to open world premiere of Steve Stajich’s THE GOLDFISH LETTERS
STEVE STAJICH
Writer/Director
THE GOLDFISH LETTERS wrestles with questions of faith and belief, beginning when a child’s letter asking God to watch over her recently departed goldfish receives a reply… seeming to have come from the intended recipient! When a mysterious uninvited stranger shows up at the parents’ back door, there are even more questions to be answered in this funny and dramatic story that may leave you looking up at the night sky with questions of your own.
Working with a superb cast of professional and community players, Stajich is an esteemed director, comedian and writer who has written for MTV, Comedy Central, and Dennis Miller; cable shows “Politcally Incorrect” and “Evening at the Improv;” and network sitcoms including NBC’s “Daddio” and The CW’s “Reba,” among many others. THE GOLDFISH LETTERS will star John Ferrare playing the role of TED, the husband and father who is less than delighted that someone is writing his daughter letters from heaven; Cooper Gillespie playing the role of ALICE, the wife and mother who urged her husband to relocate to a small town to give their adopted daughter a better quality of life; Derrik Lewis playing the mysterious stranger who disrupts the household; and Jeanette Knight who plays the lawyer who may need a small miracle to pull things back together again for everyone involved.
THE GOLDFISH LETTERS suggested rating is PG and show tickets range from $15-$24. A cash bar and complimentary light refreshments are available.
