JOSHUA TREE — The Hi-Desert Cultural Center’s acclaimed ArtsTech Academy Summer Youth Theater program will culminate in four incredible performances opening this Thursday for one weekend only as its hard-working young actors present the biggest mega-musical of the summer, SHREK THE MUSICAL JR.!  With tickets selling-out, this unparalleled, intensive summer youth theater program’s full-scale stage production of the Oscar-winning DreamWorks Animation film, SHREK, is the program’s newest musical spectacular.  It follows last season’s Summer Youth Theater smash production of THE LION KING JR. that recently received an incredible ten nominations, including Outstanding Production, from the Desert Theatre League.  Having received professional hands-on instruction in acting, dancing, singing, costuming, prop and set creation, theater technologies, and more—the program’s students, whose ages range from grade 4 through high school, have worked extensively all summer and are now bringing to life everyone’s favorite Ogre, Donkey, Dragon and a large colorful cast of fairytale creatures in a production you don’t want to miss!  Get your tickets now before they are completely gone! Shows are Thursday and Friday evenings at 7 pm and Saturday at 1 pm and 4:30 pm.

Should your schedule change and you find yourself needing to attend a performance on a different date — if you give the Box Office at least 48 hours notice prior to your ticketed performance, management will attempt to exchange your ticket for a different performance of the same show!
