Art Panel: Balancing Life—The Mandala, Fractal Geometry, and Jungian Therapy | NOV 17
NOVEMBER 17, 2019 @ 4PM
YUCCA VALLEY VISUAL & PERFORMING ARTS CENTER
Curator Michael McCall will moderate and lead the panel in a discussion on the subject of the exhibition, the mandala, a predominate form of sacred geometry. Joining him on the panel will be esteemed artist Paul Heussenstamm whose artworks within the exhibition represent unity, wholeness and harmony. Artist Ivan Butorac will present his digital photographic ideas of his artworks in the exhibition, touching on the natural inclination of contemporary artists to be drawn to the circle. The panel will also talk about Fractal geometry and Jungian therapy. Carl Jung was the first to introduce the Mandala to the Western world. Jungian therapy, sometimes known as Jungian analysis, is an in-depth, analytical form of talk therapy designed to bring together the conscious and unconscious parts of the mind to help a person feel balanced and whole.
